download web accelerator
Web Accelerator is free to download for all unlimited hours and dialup2 accounts. Follow these steps to download and install the software on your machine:
- using your username and password, sign into toolbox.
- under account functions, select 'web accelerator' and follow the prompt to enable Web Accelerator on your account.
- Follow the instructions provided on toolbox to download the Web Accelerator software.
After installing, a quick tour is available from the taskbar menu to explain how Web Accelerator works, how to use the menu and how to measure your acceleration.
The file is 1.95MB, and should download in 5-15 minutes, depending on your connection. Make sure your system meets the minimum system requirements before installing the software:

Windows user:
- An unlimited hours or dialup2 account with iiNet - find out more about our dialup accounts
- Windows 98 or better (98/NT 4.0/2000/ME/XP)
- Internet Explorer 5.5 (or better) or Netscape Navigator 4.7 (or better). See special instructions for Opera , Netscape 4.7 and Mozilla
- Any email client (except Pegasus Mail)
- 135MB of free disk space
- 64MB of RAM
- Direct connection to the modem (not LAN compatible)
Mac user:
- An unlimited hours or dialup2 account with iiNet - find out more about our dialup accounts
- OS X 10.2 and later (Intel Mac's are not compatible)
- Internet Explorer 5.2 and Safari 1.2
- Any email client (except Pegasus Mail)
- 135MB of free disk space
- 256MB of RAM
- Direct connection to the modem (not LAN compatible)
