outlook express 4 setup
The following tutorial will guide you through setting up Microsoft's Outlook Express 4 for email.
- To open Outlook Express, double click on the icon on your desktop
- Or go to Start then Programs then Outlook Express
- Click Tools
- Click Accounts for email and news settings
- Click Add to add a new E-mail or News account
- Click Properties to check the settings of an e-mail account
- Click the News tab to check the News account settings
- If you have unused accounts here, delete them by selecting them and clicking the Remove button
- Click Mail to add a new Mail account
- Type the name you wish to appear on the e-mails you send
- Click Next
- Type your iiNet e-mail address in the form: username@iinet.net.au
- Click Next
- Set your incoming mail server as mail.iinet.net.au
- Set your outoing mail server as mail.iinet.net.au
- Click Next
- Type your iiNet username and password
- Click Next
- Type a name for the account, such as iiNet Mail
- Click Next
- Choose Connect using my phone line unless you are on broadband
- Click Next
- Select Use an existing dial-up connection and select your iiNet account
- Click Next
- Click Finish
Congratulations! You have now setup Outlook Express to handle your email.
